A stately Colonial Revival home was built over the foundations of a modest house from the 1960s. The new house was designed to fit into an existing suburban neighborhood with numerous traditional red brick residences from the early 20th century. Internally, the new house was organized around a 24- foot- long central stair hall with a curved staircase. A fanlight above the front door and arched windows at the rear of the stair hall allows natural light to penetrate the entire width of the house. Martin Brandwein worked with interior designer Judith Glikman on this project.
